  1. About thirty years ago there was a fierce storm. It started about ten o'clock at night, of course every one tried their best to guard their houses and out offices. A man in Roveagh who went out was hit in the back with sheet of iron. A lot of damage was done, houses knocked hay and oats scattered. The tide rose at the Weir also and the people had hardly time to escape.
