Old Song
“The place which I am writing of, is in Killeenmore,”
The place which I am writing of, is in Killeeneen-More,
Situated near the church yard, which Chromwell knocked of yore,
He, and his thousand soldiers, came and knocked it down,
Now it stands in an ivey ruin, in the north of Boher na h-abann.
Both in Summer and in winter, this place is always clean,
No dirt is found upon the ground, or an other stain,
You'd think it is a marble hall, or a palace of renown
I deem it is a sacred spot, sweet charming Boher na h-abann.- Collector
