    An fear ag an doras:-
    "Gabhaidh ar bhur nglúnaibh
    Fosclaidh bhúr súile
    Agus leighidh isteach Bríghid"

    Muinntir an tighe istig:-
    "Sé do bheatha, sé do beatha, sé do bheatha a Bríghid"

    An Bhrídeog = bábóg tuighe; carried from house to house. Bearer says "Honour the Brideóg"
    Brat Bhrígdhe orrainn i n-éadan an uile
    Crosóg Bhríghde i gcró is i gcomhnigdhe
    I bhfad uainn gach olc agus gach urchóid
    I gcrainn is i gclocha agus i mbeanna fuara fairrge.
