  1. Whooping Cough:
    1. Drink 3 drops of donkey's milk.
    2. Get a ferret to drink some milk - his "leavings" boiled in water & a small quantity given to the sick person is a common cure for whooping cough.
    3. Drink the soup of a goat's ear.
    4. Catch a trout alive. 3 drops from his mouth - cure for whooping cough also.
    5. If you meet a man riding a white horse, unexpectedly and ask him for a cure for whooping cough, whatever he prescribes, if taken is a sure cure.
