    It is said that the mermaid is like a human being, except that she has no legs. She has a tail like a fish. It is also said that she was often seen sitting on a rock combing her long golden hair. The mermaid's home is under the sea.
    This is a story which I heard from a neighbour about the mermaid. Once upon a time, a girl, who was very fond of jewellery found a diamond necklace on the rocks near the sea. The girl took
