  1. A funny story.
    Long ago a poor widow lived in Lismore and she had the world of children to support. She was a hardworking woman.
    On Christmas morning she got up very early and made the plum pudding and put it into a bag and then put the bag into boiling water, that was hanging over the fire. She went off to a mass and told the children to keep the pot boiling.
    Whilst she was at mass the children took the pudding out of the pot and began eating.
