  2. There was once a man living in Brackloon by the name of Tom [?] and it was said he had a cure. There was a man living near him and he had a very bad sore and nothing could cure it. One day he went to the man who had the cure and he blessed himself and said some prayers and he shook Holy Water on it. He was getting better every day and in a week's time it was better.

Ó h-Oisín an t-ainm a bhí ar an bhfear sin. Cuireadh as a sheilbh mar ní íocfadh sé an cíos. Bhí sé as Dealgan agus thóg daoine eile isteach é. Bhí an talamh rointe nuair a tháinig sé annseo. Bhí meas aige ar (?) na daoine. Mr. Allgy an t-ainm a bhí ar an bhfear a bhailigheadh an cíos (?) agus bhí sé as Albain a gus bhí sé in a chomhnuidhe thíos i nDealgan.
