  1. John Murphy, a man of about 76 years, gave me some interesting details about hidden treasure. He told me that there was supposed to be treasure hidden in the burrow of St. Margaret's, dead opposite the hall-door of an old ruin, which was one time the house of a landlord.
The treasure consisted of gold and silver vessels, from a nunnery which was in St. Margaret's once. The vessels were hidden in the time of the Cromwellian Invasion, for fear of the soldiers. People from the district dug for them several times but they never could find the exact spot. So after some time no other effort was made.
Lights are supposed to have been seen in the ruins
