- I like a wet day because my brother and I have great fun playing a game. The game has no particular name but we call it "Hiding the thimble."
We toss a penny to see who is the first to hide the thimble. The boy who is not hiding it shuts his eyes. When the other boy has hidden the thimble he says "ready." The other boy then looks for it. If he finds it he hides and the other boy must look for it. If he doesn't find it the other boy hides it again.
