    Marriages 17 .2.38.
    Marriages in Crusheen are few and far between ,and same everywhere else ,for the people of nowadays are very unwilling to marry.
    The time of the year when marriages are most common is Shrove.The people counted Thursday a very unlucky day to get married. They believed that there was a wicked Thursday ,and they did not know either that day was to come or had it
    passed ,so therefore they used not like to get married on Thursday ,but they counted no month unlucky.
    Long ago some people had great superstitions
