    The principal games in which I indulge are conquers, marbles, and pitch and toss. The game of conquer is played as follows. Two conquers are holed, and then to pieces of chord are fitted into these holes. The "battle" then begins and the boy whose conquer remains whole is the winner.
    Marbles is played in the following manner. One marble is placed (in) on a flat portion of ground, while you get another marble to throw at the first one. If you hit the first marble three times after
