  1. There are not many forts in this district. There is one in Killuran More, Killuran Abbey, Rossealon, Kilderha. They are on the tops of hills and can be seen from one another. Each on of them is at an equal distance apart. Their shape is round with white thorn trees growing around them. In olden times the people were afraid to cut down those trees or to go inside the little circle after dusk lest they disturb the good little
