  1. The townland where I live is called Killuran Abbey. It must have got its name from the abbey or church near by. Killuranmore has far more houses and land and that must be the reason it was called Killuranmore. There are many townlands around about it, Ballymacdonnall, Ballynbrone, Knock Breac, Claremount, Drumine Cappalea, Killuran Beg, Silvergrove, Colnahilla. Most of the townlands around where I live have Irish names.
