  1. Killuran is the name of the townland in which I live. It got its name from a church which was built by St. Uran. There is a graveyard now where the church was. Gortatrass is the name of a townland next it. Páirc an óir is the name of the field in it. There was a man digging in this field one day. He found a crock of gold in it. He took it home to his wife. She told some of her neighbors about it. The next morning when the man went out he was amazed at finding all the field dug up.
