  1. The people considered the fair days great days in olden times. All classes of people flocked to the fair. The tinkers were there with their plays. The travelers had stands erected to sell their goods. Every sort of animals was bought and sold. Match-making often took place at the fair. In the evening the people used to be drunk and terrible fights took place. People were often killed.
