- (continued from previous page)The second of May, the Fair in Ballycumber".The land is fairly good and there are not many hills. The nearest bog is abot two miles away. The river Brosna flows through the village.
Therea are many streams through the land. - Bellair.I live in the townland of Bellair, in the parish of Ballinahown which is in the Barony of Garrycastle.
There are thirty families in Bellair and the family name most common is Daly.
Bellair was so called because long ago a town was situated on the top of the hill. Mostly all the house of Bellair are thatched. There are many old people in this townland and most of them are good storytellers. Two of the best storytellers are Ned Larkin and Jeremiah Guinan. They tell the stories in English.
