This charm must be worked either on Monday or Thursday evening after sun set. The man who has the charm does as follows:- He points nine pieces of straw, each about three inches in length, at the wart. Then he buries eight of them and chews one of them, and as the buried ones begin to (rot) rot the wart withers away. This charm can not be done by a woman.
