  1. There is a bot to the east of this school called Cormaclew bog. There is said to be a curn of silver hidden under this bog. It was hidden the time of the penal days. It is to the west of Mrs. Allen's house. People say when they were hiding it they locked a girl into a house where Mrs. Allen's house now is, so that she could not tell where they hid it. There is also said to be a cross hidden near where the churn of silver is hidden.
