    1. There is a well in Mr Mann's field in Ardnagrath called Tobar na h aise or Tobar na h aisil...

There is a well in Mr Mann's field in Ardnagrath caled Tobar na hAise or Tobar na hAisil. It is about a half mile from the Ardnagrath road. It is near a stone wall with big rocks around it. Some people say St. Rachel blessed it, others say it was St Patrick blessed it. People do not perform rounds there, but people go there for water to cure vomiting. Several people were cured of this ailment. People have great faith in it. The sick person does not get it himself, some body else must go for it for him. It must be taken from the well between sunset and sunrise, otherwise it will prove useless.
There is another well called Ballykilbride well in Mr Campbell's field in Caurawn about half a mile west from this school. The water from this well used to cure some eyes.
