    On day, as the two princesses were walking through a forest, they heard a loud groan, and after a while it became louder, they walked in the direction from which it came. Then to their surprise they found that the groans came from a man who was lying beneath a tree. When they came up to him they saw that he was very beautiful and immediately both princesses fell in love with him, but Princess Maeve didn't want the Princess Finola to go near him, and she made her go home. Then Maeve asked him what was his name, and he told her it was Prince Murrough and that he came from the Province of Leinster. Then she asked him how he came to be lying beneath the tree. He replied that his horse fell, and that he fell too and sprained his ankle. He said he sent two of his attendants for a coach to take him home.
