  1. Some of the old people long ago had the power of taking butter from their neighbours.
There lived a man in this locality. He went for his cows to the lodge on a May Morning to be milked. He saw a hare sucking the cows, going from one to another. He had a dog with him and he set the dog after the hare. The man followed the dog and the hare. The hare made for a certain house and going over the half-door the dog caught the hare by the leg.
When the man reached the house he went in-side and found a woman wiping the blood off her leg.
There are men and women who had the charm of bringing back the butter.
There was a woman who lived in the western end of the Parish that could bring back the butter to any-one that it was taken from.
This man's wife went to her, and told her grievance that the butter was taken from her for months. She got a bottle and put some water into it, what ever-else she put with it, and she told her when she would reach home that there would be three lumps of butter about the size of a grain of wheat in-side in the bottle
