Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)a long pole is fixed which is put out through a hold in the wall; An iron barrel with two long chains is fixed at the end of the pole, on the outside. The chains are attached to a horse that moves forward and so the churn is worked
- About a hundred years ago ploughing with oxen was very common in the parish of Conahy. Up to about fifty years ago it was done by a ploughman of Donoughmore, Ballyragget named Mr. Walsh. He also used them for churning.
The oxen were yoked to the plough as horses are now, but they had to be guided and it was mostly with their heads that they pulled the plough. It was difficult(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile) - Bailitheoir
