  1. In the year 1900 in the month of November there was a rain storm which lasted for two days and two nights without ceasing.
    There was a flood and it is said that it was the highest flood that came for twenty years before that.
    It is said that Gallancurragh river overflowed, and no one could go over the bridge as it was covered with water.
