  1. There was a man who lived in the house now belonging to Mr Patrick Daly.
    He was called John Clarke, in the townland of Coradua, in parish of Killinkere.
    He accomplished a journey of three miles in fifteen minutes from Killinkere chapel to Cross chapel three miles apart.
    It is said he could keep with a motor car going at it's quickest speed, it is also said that he could jump upon a horse's back from the ground and the horse trotting.
    When the people used to go about after rabbits and hares, they would pay
