    Long ago a ghost was seen a few miles to the west of Knocknagree.

    nightfall. After some time a very brave priest set out alone on horseback and he met her and she attacked him and they fought for a long time. The ghost killed the horse which belonged to the priest but the priest banished her forever for the district.

    There was once a man whose cows had no milk when they were brought in in the morning. He went out one night and a figure of a hare came into the field and began to suck the cows. The man put the dogs after him. The hare ran towards an old cabin and just as he was going in the door the dogs tore him. When the farmer came to the cabin the door was barred against him
