  1. A man was out walking late one night. He went into an empty house. There was an old woman sitting by the fire smoking The man said "God bless all here" "You too" said the old woman, "take a smoke of this pipe." "Alright" said the man, and he smoked the pipe for awhile and handed it back to the woman saying "The Lord have mercy on all the souls of the faithful departed." "Take another smoke" said the woman, the man did so and handed the pipe back again saying the same prayer. The woman asked him have another smoke. He did so and said the same prayer and the old woman who was not a real woman only a spirit said "you have relieved
