    Once Tadhg was in Dunmanway. It was a fair-morning and he went into a tea-shop kept by a woman called Joany Brown. He wasn't satisfied with the cóír he got, and when he came outside the door again he began -
    "Joany Brown west in town ag díol na nearraí daora
    Bread and fish she keeps it still, is gearr do raghadh an raol ort
    Cómhairle maith do tabharfainn d'fhear a bheadh ibhfad ón dtaobh-so
    Before hed come to ate enough 's gan teacht cun Joany in aochor"!
