    Penal Days
There is a place on the mountains nearest to us,near Barratitappy school, where a priest was shot saying mass.It was a Catholic who told on him and when the priest was saying mass, the soldiers came and hid near the place. The leader said when the candle would darken,to fire. They did so and shot the priest.
There is a big stone with a hole in it.It is said this stone was for the alter and the bullet went through it.
