“There are some old roads through the country which are not used now.”
There are some old roads through the country which are not used now. One of the most interesting is that one leading from Kinlough to Bundoran. It is still used by some people when walking to Bundoran. There is a fence across it now. It was made there during the Famine Times so as to give the people a chance of earning wages. Any one over six years used to work there and get a shilling every day and some people were not able to work. When they reached the road they were that weak and sick from hunger and disease.- Faisnéiseoir
