   some oats into the hole and when the bird would see the oats he would go into the hole and when the trapper would see the bird in the hole he would pull the rope and the slate would drop over the hole. Then the bird or would be caught and the man would be caught take it out and put it in a cage.
   There are many kinds of birds found in this district. These are the Goldfinch the linnet the Siskin the Bullfinch the Chaffinch the Stoney Grey-linnet the Tweedy the Green linnet the Grey-linnet the Tom Tommy-Blue the Willie-Wagtail the Lark the Wren the Golden Wren the Jackey the Cap the Yellow-hammer the Derby the Sally-Picker the Truck the Blak Black bird the Veet and the Mag-Pie. The Mag-Pie builds its nest with sticks inthe mud and with wool off a sheeps back.
