    The tugs arrived next morning
Just at the break of day
    With gloomy hills and mountains
    And headlands in the Bay
    Into their great astonishment
She is in the "rows" below
With her ropes and masts and rigging
In the bows of Cuas na gno.
Thank God there is great plenty now
    Along our native shore
From Brow head point to sweet Cape Clear
    And along to Baltimore
All the small boats in the harbour
    One paddling through the bay
And they're loaded to the water's edge
    And homewards with their prey.
Long life to our noble Captain
Though we can't tell his name
That he may be highly rewarded
    With honour and great fame
With his pockets full of silver
    Likewise of solid gold
And the blessings of the people
May be with him where he goes.
