  2. There are many kinds of birds such as the robin, the lark, the thrush, the goldfinch, the majpie, the crow and the hawk. These are mostly around the neighbouring lime kiln, they nest mostly around a lake in the trees, the birds gather moss of the bogs, bits of sticks and wool, the majority of the birds lay five green eggs, when the young ones come out the mother bird waits for a fortnight till they are trained and able to mind themselves.
    The cuckoo comes to us and lays her eggs in a lark's nest. She does not hatch it but she gets another bird to do it.
