He had to get a pound for every three months. There was another old school in Rossard. The teacher's name was Anne Kearns. She used to teach English, Reading and Writing. She came from Ballycrystal to Rossard. The people from Ballycrystal came to school also. They had no stell pens and they had to get quills. She used to go home to Ballycrystal every night.
