    Local Marriage Customs
    It was the custom years ago to have matches made in this district.
    The brides father and the man would meet at a fair or some such place.
    The father would give the bride horses, cows, and sheep. The old people say that it was unlucky to get married in the months of May, June, or October. It was the custom in some places for the bridegroom to go to the brides home and take her to the Chapel. In other places the bride and bridegroom went on their own.
    There was no special time for getting married you could get married in the morning or evening. The breakfast
