    Local Cures
    People use salt and pepper for curing toothaches. They also use soda.
    People use a hot stocking tied around their head for to cure headaches.
    Clip a piece of hair of a ferret's back and rub it on your fore-head and it will cure a head-ache also. People rub a snail on a wart to cure it and
    some people can cure warts by the knots on straws. Rubing each wart with a fresh straw. They say some prayers and where they are finished they bury the straws. When the straws wither away the warts will wither also. People cure the "Thrush" by rubing the tongue with honey. People cure coughs by rubing their chests with goose-grease.
