- 1. Make a cake with water and oaten-meal. Put the cake in the middle of the fire. While it is burning say the Rosary. The patient should sit in front of the fire watching the cake. As it burns away the Jaundice goes. No dog or cat must be let go between the patient and the fire, while the cake is in it. 2. Get a two-rooted briar, boil the roots in water, and drink for nine mornings. 3. Boils the buds of the ash in new milk and drink.
