“Once upon a there lived an innocent gossoon in Granard.”
Once upon a there lived an innocent gassoon in Granard. One evening a lot of men dared him to go into a tunnel under the Moat. The gassoon went in, but he did not go far until he met a queer fairy. The fairy was going to kill him for going in under the Moat. She did not kill him, but she put an eye out off him. When he came back he had only one eye and he did not live long after.
