  1. Long ago there was a ghost at a bridge in Newpass Rathowen. He used to appear in a different shape every night. He used to beat all the people who passed him. Some priests came and he beat them too. Then a priest came and settled him between the forth and the water beside the bridge. You can see the forth under a tree that is growing in the river.

  2. There is a lone bush, in Charles Brady's field in Cam and the people say that an old woman is seen sitting combing her hair under it at midnight - every night.
