- There was once a man who had a hump. He was one day going by a forth when he met fairies. He was a nice man and the fairies took off his hump. He went home to his father who also had a hump. The father wondered and when the son told him the story he said he would go and get of his hump. He went and he asked the fairies to take off the hump. They were angry with him and they put two humps on him. He had the son's hump also. There were once poor people to whom a fairy said they could any three wishes they liked. The fairy said "that if they judged in haste they would repent at leisure". The fairy disappeared and the wife prepared a meal. They were eating it when the wife said "a poor meal I wish we had a sausage". At that a fried sausage alighted on the table beside them. "That it may stick to your nose you old hungry devil" said the man in anger. The sausage flew off the table and stuck on the woman's nose. She did not want the public laughing at her with a sausage on her nose all her life so she called for its removal. They lost the chance of their life through the woman's folly.
