    place of Dermuid and Grannia. The place is called Melka Fort. There are old trees or scrubbery briars growing around the stones or flags. Some people said that Dermuid and Grannia rested here for some time in hiding, and others say that Dermuid was killed here, however the marks are there at present and it is evident that something did happen at this spot.
    Several men visited the spot but were unable to trace any facts in connection with it.
