and spread the news that he travelled South. Immediately afterwards guards were set to watch him and amongst these was a man named O'Hanlon. This man was awaiting the coming of the pig just beyond this old graveyard and during that period he slept. While sleeping a man creeper came along put his tail into the man's nose and awakened him. When O'Hanlon awoke he saw the pig approaching. He sprang up and fired but the shot only wounded the animal who then made his way to the River Boyne where he fell dead.
O'Hanlon who died shortly after this was buried in this (cemetry) cemetery and a curious stone still marks the spot. The figures of a pig a man-creeper a gun and also the man himself can still be traced out on this stone. It is an interesting feature of the graveyard and many visitors come to have a look at the grave of O'Hanlon the noted out law of Armagh and Louth.
