- There is but one blessed Well in the district. Dara Well is the name of the blessed Well in our district. They days for doing rounds are two Thursdays and a Sunday. In the blessed Well there are three altars fixed and to each of the altars there is to be said one Our Father and three Hail Marys. The well is noted for curing sore eyes. The people bring the water of the Well and they keep it in the houses for curing sore eyes. All the people that go to the Well leave money, prayer books and rosary beads and crosses and they fix them in the little altars.
The well is not deep and for that reason there is no fish of any kind in it. The Well is in a lonely place and the old people say that they used to see light around it. When that well was first founded there was a woman seen walking around the place and praying. Nobody knew who this woman was and the neighbouring women gathered there one day to know why she was there. She then began to fix up a little altar over the well. Then when she had the altar finished she turned to the women and told them to answer the Rosary with her and then she immediately disappeared.- Bailitheoir
