and they will sprout up soon
    Cut them in July
    And they will die away
If they are not cut they will spread very quickly. The donkey likes the thistle.
The buachalain is a yellow weed, and is a medicine for cattle but the farmers do not like it.
The chicken weed is another weed that the farmer does not like. It is said that if you put it in the window it will keep away the flies.
The dandelion is a very useful weed. We gather it and chop it up for the turkeys and we also give it to the pigs.
The nettles are also given to the pigs. If you get a nice clean bunch of nettles and boil them with milk and them mash them with potatoes they make a lovely dinner.
The dock leaf also is used for feeding pigs. If you get stung by a nettle, the cold dock leafes or the juice of it will cure you.
People give fouráins to the pigs and they love them.
All the weeds take the good out of the ground and they are the farmers pest.
