I heard this story a few days ago and this is the way it begins:- There is a man in this district and when he was young a man named Thomas Hennessy took him to Tipperary.

    (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)
hurling and didn't he notice his own brother in the crowd.
He was a brave boy and didn't he make as attempt to catch his brother but if he did, he was hit on the knee with a hurley and knocked him senceless.
He came to himself after a while and went home. When he arrived there they noticed he was very strange. He told them how he saw the brother hurling and he went to catch him but got a stroke of a hurley on the knee.
After a couple of days he fell sick and died.
This story is true and from that day until this the neighbouring people believe that the two Hennessy's are in Hanley's moat.
