    and every fish he would get he would kick him back over his shoulder into the hamper. He asked them to hire him and they said that they had no business of him, he was two small; he said, "never mind, I might come in useful sometime". So they hired him and they went on; next the met a man and the deepest part of the ocean did not cover his knees he asked them to hire him, but they said, "he was too big and could not be of use to them", take me along I might come in handy some time so they took him along. After a while the little man said, "if I got seven acres of dry land I would fight the big man." Fionn said I will give you that soon, and he tipped the water with the magic cane and seven acres of dry land was formed. So they started the fight and the little man got his little hatchet and began cutting notches in the tall man, until he got to his head, and then cut it off in one blow. Now said the little man let you gather every piece and put them in their right places and put the head on right, he is my brother and he will then be a natural man. So they sailed away until they came to dry land. When they got out of the ship they journeyed for the day and towards night they came to a house on the side of a hill and decided to stay the night. They sent down the little man to a rich gentleman's place in a valley, down he went and met the gentleman, and asked him for food the gentleman was
