There are five churchyards in this parish, one in Lisgoold, Templenacarriga, Templeboden, Ballycrana, and Leamlara. The two latter are not in use now atall, the last burial in Ballycrana was a man called John Straw who was buried there 70 years ago.
The Lisgoold cemetary is established over 200 years as a headstone dating 1731 is to be seen there. It was first the property of the Standish Barrys of Leamlara which family erected an enrailed tomb in the graveyard. It was they who planted the large trees and they registered them as their property. When the Local Government bill of 1898 was passed it caused the graveyard to pass into the hands of the County council.
There was a protestant church in it, to which a protestant congregation was coming about sixty years ago. It was built about 150 years ago and was razed to the ground about 55 years ago. There is but a little rising ground where it was in which there are three graves, and when graves nearby
