    Long ago the people used to go on horse-back to the chapel to get married. The bride sat cúlóg behind the best man going to the chapel and she sat cúlóg behind the bride-groom coming home.
    All the horses used to have a race to the chapel to see which of them would be the first and they had the same canter going home.
    It is unlucky to get married on Monday, Wednesday or Friday or in the months of May or August
