    This song was composed about a sailing ship that was lost on the Barrel's Rock outside Schull harbour long ago
    Come all you jolly mariners and listen
    unto me.
    And I'll tell you of the hardships and dangers of the sea.
    I belong to the Lady Charlotte from
    Lima we set sail.
    Homeward bound for Liverpool with a sweet and pleasant gale.

    Our cargo it consisted of dollars, a good store.
    Hides, seeds, bark, wool, and tallow, gold dust, and silver ore.
    Our captain's name was George McGill, a man of skill profound;
    A jolly crew in perfect health, and a good ship light and sound
