  1. Buried Treasure
    [-]
There is buried treasure in the townland of Dhernochern, in the parish of Gurten, in a field belonging to James Fuery. Long ago a man from Buaninaden Parish, Co. Sligo, dreamt that he saw the way to the spot where this treasure is. He also dreamt where to find the loy and shovel to dig it. When he reached the spot where the treasure was hidden, he had not courage enough to begin his work, as the treasure is guarded by a grey mare. The heaviest now that ever fell is not able to whiten this spot where the treasure is.
