  2. The Drowning at Drumdoe
    Come all ye tender Christians, attention to me pay,
    I hope you will condole with me, till I relate the tale.
    It being of a worldly youth, his age was scarce nineteen
    He little expected his dismal fate, where bathing he had been.
    It being on the tenth day of July in the year of 74,
    This fatal accident occurred, upon the Lough Arrow shore.
    James Judge he was a widow's son and he dwelt near Corrigroe
    He laboured for his landlord James Flannigan of Dundoh.
    The weather it being sultry, when his days work was done
    It was on the mergin of the Lake he said he would have a swim.
